0 Oleg Vinichenko
firstly update to portage-2.3.8-r6, then do not use backtrack option at all and see if it changes
0 skunk
already was to portage-2.3.8-r6 and i've added the backtrack option to see if the conflict get solved, however the outcome is identical...
0 Oleg Vinichenko
do not use backtrack, its an artificial hack withing a portage, which is -r6 is attempting to fix. is any of mentioned ebuilds are present in /var/lib/portage/world? thats boost, ffmpeg, libcd1394, libcdio-paranoia, boost-build
0 skunk
ok, i won't use backtrack never again... no, there's no traces of those packages in my world file...

0 ainsley31415926
I resolved the qt issue using : https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Qt/FAQ That is I did this: INSTALLED_QT_PACKAGES=$(eix --only-names -IC dev-qt) emerge -Ca ${INSTALLED_QT_PACKAGES} && emerge -av1 ${INSTALLED_QT_PACKAGES}
0 skunk
ok, feeding emerge with the packages to build worked for me too even without unmerging qt-5.7.1 (useful if you don't want to stop using your pc meanwhile or if you want to keep a still needed qt4 installation)... i wonder if the conflicts was just a portage invention...
0 valerievonck
I got the same problem, but with a ego syncand a emerge -avuND @worldit started pulling in the updates. Edit: in my make.conf there are no longer PYTHON_TARGET nor PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET Edit 2: on my other vbox, I had to pull in libpcre2 & xmlsec ebuilds to start the world update... (and do an etc-update) Kind regards, Valerie
