0 ballsystemlord
I fail to understand, what is this topic needed for? I mean, I don't have systemd and I'm guessing that you don't, so why bring it up? Is Pottering infesting another direly needed program or something that we should all be shocked and horrified and create a fork of this program or some such thing? 0 spectromas
Is this neccesary? USE="-systemd" http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Prevent_systemd_installation#For_Gentoo.2FFuntoo_based_systems_using_Portage No, but you can use the no-systemd mix-in if you really want/need to. Why are you even asking, is it getting dragged in when you're trying to install something?

0 Oleg Vinichenko
this does not relate to 'avoiding systemd'. It tells to enable policykit USE flag for consolekit package. Are you trying to use KDE? You'll need to enable kde profile to avoid USE flag problems. epro mix-in +kde linuxbigot
