Sandro, I actually encountered this problem where a package upgrade caused my printing to stop working. I should have filed a bug -- I think I needed to recompile cups-filters to deal with an update to a pdf library? I can't recall exactly. Definitely an issue where I think cups-filters should have a slot dependency on a particular library it uses. I think it may have been the upgrade from qpdf 6 to 7, which makes cups-filters need a rebuild (and no slot dep to trigger this)

When you say "trouble", what do you mean? From your post I guess that a few days ago you could print, but not anymore.

This might be caused by an update; run

qlop -l

to see what packages have been emerged in the last days.

Also, for the recommended driver for your printer, check: https://wiki.linuxfoundation.org/openprinting/start

Lastly, make sure that you are in the "lp" and "lp-admin" groups. That's all the general advice I can offer, since I don't own this printer myself.

I do not know exactly what does not work; however, the printer is multifunctional and I tested the scanner and works properly with "xsane" for example.
As for printing, I have problems. the file I want to print however "enters the" print queue "" but the printer does not react ... does not do anything.
I try to send a couple of logs.
Thank you for your interest :)
