install xorg 1.18

Hello, I am trying to install a more recent xorg to use steam.

 

and this is the error.

I'm new to Funtoo come from Gentoo

Uhm ... very strange.

 

Try

$ su -
insert root_passwordd
# emerge -DNupv =x11-base/xorg-server-1.18.3

Thiis (and eventually other) ebuild(s) must be unmasked.

Zsh requires the ebuild in this command be inside 'single quotes' or "double quotes"

rj@funtoo ~ % sudo emerge '=x11-base/xorg-server-1.18.3'

I thought also about a

$ su -c "# emerge =x11-base/xorg-server-1.18.3

I don't like "sudo" and i don't use it.
