Build livecd

Hello. 

I'm testing some options to build a livecd, but I spent few days on google try to find something about that, but I just saw solutions to .deb, catalyst to gentoo and a very old "2011" tutorial of LFS.

so I wonder which steps I need, to search about them, again, I know that have some scripts, but I really whould like to make the whole process.

I didn't knew that Metro could build an iso after create the stages, but the system is already done, I just need the steps to create the iso.

 

I already did a livecd on Debian, I know that I need compress the system on squashfs and than create the iso, but almost there is auto with live_build, I want know the step to search, don't need to be a tutorial, just the steps.
