ipython 2.x

Is anyone aware of when the ipython 2.x will be on funtoo? I see there is an open bug but it's not clear to me what the issue is

If you were looking at https://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-1465, it seems that the only issue was that it was not tested and that someone wanted it to be before it was merged into the portage tree. I added a comment to that bug that linked to this post on the forums. Hopefully someone will be able to merge a 2.x ebuild into the Funtoo tree for testing soon!

awesome thank you! I appreciate it. I just wasn't sure if it was something serious or not and there are several 2.x in the gentoo tree. Yes the link you posted is what I was referring to, aside from that I couldn't find anything

ipython ebuilds are not coming from Gentoo tree and simple copy will not solve the problem (well, it will but not in a way we want). This is reported long time and I'll try to get a maintainer of overlay we merging ebuild from to force ipython update.

thank you! I realize it was not necessarily a simple copy from the gentoo tree. I just asked because there is no mask
