installing wine

Try, package.use:

...
sys-fs/eudev -gudev
...

and emerge  wine with -D and -N, or emerge -1N eudev and emerge wine again.

 

The problem seems to be dev-libs/gudev doesn't want an udev built with gudev.

Hi i edited /etc/portage/package.use file and added sys-fs/eudev -gudev to the file

then i did sudo emerge wine -D -N and i got this:

 

i dont know what to to now.

read emerge(5) about autounmask. this is stuff you shuold know ...

Also try reading the reported error, it is actually instructions about what to do.

adding this to /etc/portage/package.use?

sys-auth/consolekit policykit

do i need the package policykit? i dont have that package installed and i would install it if it is absolutely necessary

wine was installed but my question is are udisk2 and polkit absolutely necessary?
