perfmonk
Just to warn that the certificate of build.funtoo.org is expired. Is somebody in charge to renew certificate ? Time to do it! Regards, BT
Funtoo Linux BDFL drobbins Posted November 7, 2021 Funtoo Linux BDFL Report Share Posted November 7, 2021 @perfmonk I believe this may be because your clock is not yet set on your system. This will cause the cert validation to fail. I just checked the cert and it's looking good to me.
perfmonk
Would it be logical that it happens when installing from stage3 in a VM and have not yet configured anything related to the clock ??? I'm testing an installation of funtoo in a VM under KVM. I booted the VM with the Funtoo liveCD and it is not in the good zoneinfo (I'm in America/Montreal) and the VM is on UTC. It's not a big deal since I can download anyway by adding --no-check-certificate. The message about the certificate is confusing. perfmonk
I just found that I had a GEOIP block iptables that blocked CN,UA,TW,RO,HK. It was interfering with some of the servers of build.funtoo.org. I had this rule to block people from Asia that where constantly knocking at my ssh port on port 443. I had to use 443 because of work firewall restriction. As soon I deleted the GeoIP_Restriction chain everything came back to normal. Sorry for the wrong alarm call ! It was me.
