gnome not loading

I installed funtoo and gnome today but I am having problems getting gnome to start,xorg is working as I have 3 xterm on the screen after startx I tried removing them using emerge  --unmerge x11-wm/twm and emerge --unmerge x11-term/xterm but then xorg complains any help I would be greatful for

twm and xterm are part of x11-apps/xinit so if you want to get rid of them you can use the minimal USE flag for that.

you need to specify in .xinitrc to load gnome instead of twm....

 

personally i would rather follow the lightdm wiki page to have lightdm load gnome or twm or what ever you want to run.....
