[SOLVED]proc does not exist

I am installing a new funtoo system.

I type the command:

mount -t proc none proc

and I get the error message:

proc does not exist

What do I do now?

Solution: Make sure that the entire stage 3 tarball gets downloaded.  In my case, it didn't.  When I downloaded it again, the proc directory got created.

I just thought I would post the answer here since I suspect that someone else might have the same problem.

you have to have a directory named proc in the place where you are running this command. This command is trying to mount the proc filesystem into proc directory relative to where you are executing this command.
