NikosAlexandris
Will search for answers elsewhere as it is more of a Kernel + ZFS issue, rather than a Funtoo issue. [content deleted]
0 NikosAlexandris
I've recently re-compiled my kernel which is linux-4.11_p4-pf with support for ZFS. Linux carbon 4.11.0-pf4carbon #1 SMP Fri Aug 18 01:07:29 CEST 2017 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4600U CPU @ 2.10GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux I am on zfs-kmod, zfs and spl version(s) 0.6.5.11. I am still bitten by the CPU soft lockup (bug?). Whenever I try to run `updatedb` for example, the CPU stales. I can't shutdown or reboot properly. Anyone facing the same issue? 0 palica
still true with kernel 4.14 and zfs 0.75?

Will have to find the time to upgrade my system. For the time being, I don't use Firefox. Neither the `updatedb` command. Both of which freeze the system.
