I've installed open-vm-tools and I have the wrappers running. I'm able to copy/paste/maximize just fine, however I have multiple monitors and it won't let me open it up across all of the desktops (only 1).
The error basically says the vmware tools are not up to date.
So my question is:
What's the recommended way to do this? It's never been clear to me what the distinction between open-vm-tools and the vmware tools is. Will I cause any problems by just manually installing the vmware tools from the client?
