Is running something "mission critical" a good idea on our Funtoo hosting accounts?  (My specific use isn't strictly mission critical so I might try it anyway but in case others are considering it.)

If not what would y'all recommend? Is anyone else out there offering funtoo hosts?

hard to say....  im nudging drobbins about it....  i just posted woocommerce as a recommended plugin for wordpress on the wordpress page which turns wordpress into a web store.

Duke: No more of that talk or I'll put the f*cking leeches on you, understand?

Paul: [about Percy] The man is mean and careless and stupid, and that's a bad combination in a place like this.

Stac, the official policy on this is that funtoo containers don't have any kind of uptime guarantee, and you host things on them at your own risk.

Several people do host production things on them. It's fine to do this. Just understand that if there is some issue, I'm not available 24x7 to look into it.
