how to put custom kernel on grub ?

Question

hello world

i try to do a virtual machine with 2 or 3 grahicals client in passthrroug ...

my mother board is a gygabyte x570S aero G

graphic card on the 1' pcie4 sapphire radeon rx 6600 pulse gaming 8gb ddr6

on the 2' for this moment none
but on the 3' i have a dirty graphical carde for 5€ and lspci say me

04:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G96 [GeForce 9500 GS] (rev a1)

when i look up with nvidia driver i see not available or kernel too up to for the commercial driver....
so i hope with nouveau driver it can be work ???

but out of the box it doesn't work

so i do a cutom kernel with a source from kernel.org version 6.4.1 the lasted...without anyting but nouveau driver ... i have compil it like the documentation say it https://www.funtoo.org/Building_a_Kernel_from_Source

i have found how to do for nouveau in gentoo documentations

but after make modules_install && make install

i don't now what to do to boot grub on my new kernel ...

i have a new kernel and no idea to do to start it ...

how to up it in grub ?

please help .. i don't think be a noob but i'm not a guru too lol i'm sur for users it's easy lol 🙂
