Sandro 47 Report post Posted June 2, 2014 Hello :) From what I read online it would seem that wants to be a true "shift" to systemd as well as LLVM compiler instead of gcc: roll: But I can see from the benchmarks that Phoronix gcc is "winning" in more than 80% of cases. Towards which direction it will move Funtoo? (I hope it remains an excellent, fast and simple OpenRC + gcc). http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=apple_llvm_gcc&num=1 Do you have some thoughts on this? Oleg Vinichenko 107 Report post Posted June 3, 2014 it's much possible to use clang/llvm for most of the system, but some quirks expected. This is more up-to-date wiki http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Clang
Havis 1 Report post Posted June 3, 2014 I dont care much about gcc vs clang (actually I think something good might come out of clang), but I care that funtoo stays away from systemd, its the ultimate bloatware (Poetteringware) ;-) 1 nrc reacted to this
