Full log is here: https://pastebin.com/pJi6xWKi In a few words: I created /etc/portage/repos.conf/web-overlay.conf with 'masters = net-kit' and eix-update cannot write database cache file now even when I've deleted my overlay from Portage. # mkdir -p /var/git/overlay/web-overlay # cd /var/git/overlay/web-overlay # mkdir -p www-client/iridium-browser-bin # nano iridium-browser-bin-62.0.ebuild """ Using this wi

This is also my first post. :) I recently tried to install an unofficial overlay (unity-gentoo, available through layman) but it didn't go so well. As I've explained on their bug tracker (https://github.com/shiznix/unity-gentoo/issues/121), their installation procedure requires a profile to be selected. However, their profiles seems to be unrecognized by epro, so installation is unfortunately impossible. I've looked around the funtoo manuals but I am unable to find any
  5. Hello Funtoo Community, this is my first post here, but I am working with Linux generel for many years now. A long time with Gentoo Linux. I want to setup a completly new system as my workstation. Everything for now works fine and I got a very fast and responsible base system. As my desktop environment I want to have the newest version of Xfce 4.12, but no ebuild exists in default Funtoo portage tree. So I search a little bit and found a suitable ebuild in Gentoo's portage tree. I added the tree as overlay using layman. Everything seems to be fine, but when I'm doing emerge -av
