Will it be safe to stop the setup to see the log i'am doing a setup via chroot

from ubuntu still new to chroot and stuff but love the learning of new things

Hello all so after beng a ubuntu user for 8 months i wanted to try doing something different

i started following the install guide iam at the point of emerging xfce4-meta and its been stopped on

installing media-libs/x265-1.8-r3 for a while is there any fix for this
