As in the topic, please post pics here of what badly modified car is the best visual metaphor for the devastation that is systemd.

Deklan? reacted to gumtree.jack in Cant compile @kernel -> cryptsetup faild Unable to find kernel sources at /usr/src/linux
I was doing stable installation with Funtoo Install guide. I tried current branch for i7 and kernel compiled without any problems so it must be a bug. Now I have other problem :)

Deklan? reacted to emarsk in Emulation x86 is dead
I think I followed this guide when I made the switch:
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Multilib_System_without_emul-linux_Packages
Maybe there were also some threads in the Gentoo forums, I don't remember.

Seems like we could use a HOWTO on this. I've had emul-linux-x86-opengl and some other 32 bit libraries installed to support a variety of things including Steam. I deleted the app-emulation packages but when I try setting abi_x86_32 on packages in package.use I get a pile of blocking message which I'm reading to say that it thinks I'm telling it to compile only 32 bit versions.

Deklan? reacted to emarsk in Emulation x86 is dead
Yes, if I understand correctly the emul-linux-x86-* packages were just sets of precompiled x86 libraries. Now we are telling portage to compile the x86 version for those libraries with the abi_x86_32 USE flag. It's the same thing but done in a cleaner, more flexible, more consistent way.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, my knowledge here is flaky.

you're installing the dependencies to the live distro temporarily. debian doesn't have jfs in it's live media so that requires apt-getting jfs to deal with the file system & mount the file system that was previously not supported. id use synaptic to insert the deps since i dont know apt-get's command line tools very well.

Never seen any malware report from funtoo.org domain ..
I use Google Chome Beta and Dev ^_^
Yandex is one of only a web page index, nothing more ;)
Maybe, try changing the search engine in Opera to Google

Hey Deklan. Thanks for the reply!
However, I have that option unchecked and only get a preview of the window's icon, not the window itself. I am trying to get the third picture from this link [http://www.xfce.org/about/tour] and can only get the 1st and 2nd pictures (by checking and unchecking the "Cycle through windows in a list" option). Do I have to be using XFCE's compositor to do this, or can I get the previews using a compositor such as compton?
Thanks!
EDIT: I just found the answer. Apparently the preview mode only works with XFCE's native XRender compositor, not with compton.

Great morphmex; I think to express its gratitude to be an incentive to develop a project or another.
I prefer to be a bit 'more "conservative" on certain aspects.
Well but if there are more choices then .... better.
Hello to All Dear Funtoo users :)
(Fun-too .... Fan(tastic)-too => too fantastic: P: P: P: P: P)
Thanks to All.
With estimate.
Sandro.

Danger I used the google translator does not know enough English-American ...;-)
Good morning everyone, I confirm that the real gentoo is the one maintained and developed by Daniel and his collaborators, could not be otherwise. Daniel thank you for the effort you are doing to make available to all this beautiful operating system. I am proof that your work is fine ..;-) I often try to make it clear to Ceriani that despite being a fantastic distribution Funtoo has an installation system that is not within the reach of all but it is said that in the future things change. How were created profiles in the future could come out a faster way to install this gemstone. I thank you for introducing me Ceriani in funtoo and all of you for the work you are doing. Funtoo is my favorite distribution, and every time I try the other not as thrilled with the rest funtoo. Lately I tried linux mint cinammon 17.1 and these days funtoo cinammon will install in its place. Thank you, thank you for all your work, you are fantastic.
Deklan you are also a great person, so many good things. ;-)

Dearest Daniel, well .... my friend Riccardo Messana and I are convinced that you were a big indeed great to want to engage with determination the project Funtoo !!!!
We think that Gentoo is a derivative of Funtoo .... and not vice versa.
Do you really value you so much for your work and your genius .........
You are invincible !!!!!!!!! Thank Heart throughout the work you do for this meta-distribution and to keep "alive" this "community".
With great esteem.
Alessandro & Riccardo. :)
