  1. I think this is a brilliant development, especially for newcomers or people who do not have a great experience with building kernels. I have a question, will it be possible to provide a binary kernel also at cases when a new kernel version becomes available and an update is necessary?
  2. Personally, I like the idea of Funtoo having an installer. Nevertheless, I understand the fact that investing time into writing and maintaining an installer for a rolling release distro such as Funtoo might not be that high in priority. If we were to consider this I would suggest looking at a simpler installer something like Archlinux install script or OpenBSD Installer. Nothing too fancy, simple question and answer text based installer. Saying that the online instructions for installing Funtoo have never failed me, although they look a bit scary for a beginner who just wants to copy and paste
  3. In a few occasions when I use glsa-check in Funtoo I get some wired results. It tells me that some applications are vulnerable although they have already been updated to the most recent version in portage. When I asked in irc someone (I can't remember who) mentioned that the software version in Funtoo might be slightly different to the one in Gentoo, hence glsa-check might not be that accurate. So two questions: 1. Is that correct? Does glsa-check work correctly in Funtoo? 2. If not, should we try to fix it? Many thanks blaz000
  4. I use net-misc/freerdp Then from a terminal I type: xfreerdp /u:username /v:ip_of_machine
