    boot-update ZFS support not ready, you have to use a manually adjusted grub.cfg, like linux /kernel root=ZFS=correct-name-of-root-pool

    Funtoo has gcc-4.9.2 currently tested, if you want to test enable funtoo-toolchain-overlay on top of tree.

    Funtoo had some kind of AUR, called FLORA but unfortunately it passed due to poor maintainence. Funtoo is open to include any 3-rd-part overlays, which will help users contribute.

    this is expected behaviour, Funtoo has notauto mount option set by default for /boot, which is usally /dev/sda1

    No, paludis is not compatible with Funtoo, and despite the fact it's written in C (portage is python) many users experiencies slower performance with it. Also, it's developer is not a very kind person.

    yes, NetworkManager calls dhcpcd on it's own, so you can't run both at the same time

    assuming your eth0 getting IP with DHCP, you can't run NetworkManager and dhcpcd simultaneously. Please, disable either one, and see if it solved.

    this is something coming not from Funtoo, are using a genkernel-next or something similar?

    this should be reported to bugs.funtoo.org with all details inlcluded: emerge --info, and steps to reproduce the issue.

    LANGUAGE is outdated, not recommended to use. On line 26 you made an overlay+portage tree loop, so emerge confused.

    remove line 9, remove line 26 in make.conf and remove "1" on line 25.
