this does not relate to 'avoiding systemd'. It tells to enable policykit USE flag for consolekit package. Are you trying to use KDE? You'll need to enable kde profile to avoid USE flag problems.
epro mix-in +kde
-
for this it's better to set a desktop profile, it will resolve most of USE flags problems. I suspect only core profile used here.
epro flavor desktop
-
should be fixed
-
i'm not able to reproduce this.

Not sure about text. What happened that your system artificially put into broken state, i.e your make.conf and package.use made a lot of self-excluding settings.
-
emerge --info
/etc/portage/make.conf
/etc/portage/package.use
Edit/Attachment in any of your bug reports (on bugs.funtoo.org).

:0 is an atom, stands for SLOT. In this case libgee and lxsession have SLOT="0" . if you getting problems, please, report to bugs.funtoo.org

this was due to icedtea-bin-7.2.5.5 depends on glibc-2.20 or newer. This is workarounded by masking 7.2.5.5 version.
-
that's not a straight-froward task, mainly due to Funtoo using custom toolchain ebuilds: gcc, glibc, binutils. And also, Funtoo using own portage profile system, which is quite different from Gentoo. Likely a consuming and dirty work, however, not impossible.
-
in what way they destroyed?
-
they are part of base system now. ego is a personality of Funtoo systems. Yes, this is complete replacement for eselect tool. Currently it have only epro module. This one is a replacement of profile management: show, list, setting, removing. It is much faster and nicer than original tool. More docs and news expected.
-
this is covered in https://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-2269
-
unfortunately, portage has a flow in sets management. see https://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-1556
-
what are errors then? :) does addwifi work? we would need to sort this.
-
ok, it looks like you used eselect locale. It does generate the 02locale file. In Funtoo it's not needed, above mentioned locale is set in stage3, i. e present by default. it shouldn't be a problem, though, try to remove the file, run locale-gen. Try again.
-
it looks like there is some file manually added, like /etc/env.d/02locale or in other env, in bashrc with erroneous setting.
-
paste emerge output
paste locale command output
-
where and when this locale error happens.
-
please, give full emerge output and what you trying to do, i.e steps and conditions
-
what the list of glsa checks
-
i don't think this is SOLVED. Until subunit package reworked.

xfce4-meta-4.10 has >= atom in dependencies, i.e versions 4.12 are satisfied. For current releases (known as unstable ~keyworded in Gentoo) it will pull 4.12, for stable users, it will be <4.12.

same error: is this python traceback?

downgrade to 1.16 is the option to try.
