[topics not showing up on the board]

General Discussions shows 69 topics, but when I click on it, I only see two.  Is there a setting on the forum software that I need to modify to see all topics?

I just ran into this today after an emerge world update.  Does anyone know what could have caused this 3 months after the initial bug was filed?  The backtrack=30 solved the problem for me, just curious as to what would have caused this.
