  1. I, too, use Steam, which requires 32bit. Other than that, I try to stick to only 64bit (my Plex server is also 64bit) Daniel, you reference running 32 bit clients in a chroot; do you happen to have any documentation already written up on the procedure for that?
  2. Psshawww, I write myself this note every day ;) Do not worry, we all make silly mistakes. What's important is how you handle them and you did very well :)
  3. This does not seem normal. The cleaning step should only take a few minutes at most. You should type 'dmesg' in another terminal and see if there is a problem.
  4. I don't believe they're in Funtoo/Gentoo. The overlays I found seem to be externally maintained in layman. But, I'm pretty new to this whole process, so perhaps that qualifies them as being included. I'm not sure how well maintained the others are, but I use Plex everyday and maintain my installation quite voraciously. Here's my github repo: https://github.com/Ghent/funtoo-plex
  5. Alrighty, ticket opened on bugs. :) http://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-1266
  6. Not that I have any say in this at all, but as I understand it, Kickstarter is more for a defined project with an end date and specific goals that would be met. Would Funtoo, being a Linux distribution, qualify as that? Funtoo is an ongoing thing that will (hopefully) never see an end. What would backers be getting in return? I could be entirely wrong, I don't know much about Kickstarter, but I'm not sure the format fits.
  7. Oleg, Thank you for the response. I was wondering if you might provide a bit more detail? Should I open a ticket via bugs and attach the ebuilds? Or zip up the entire overlay and attach? Or some other method? Thank you.
  8. I have been maintaining an ebuild for a package locally for some time now. I was wondering what the process was for adding this to the official Funtoo portage and being the maintainer for it? The software in question is Plex Media Server. Thanks!
  9. For all of us here I am sure this is a topic that we feel strongly about. However, it's surprising to me how many do not really understand the issue at hand. The powers that be have done an excellent job at covering up the true scope of this change and have mollified those who it would affect the most into inaction. For those of you who want to know more, this is a very comedic yet completely accurate layman's piece on the situation with Net Neutrality. I would encourage everyone to watch it, even those well versed in the politics of the issue. It's fun and it presents a lot of great information. And it is really... REALLY funny :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpbOEoRrHyU
  10. Why, thank you! It's actually a repeating gif, but most sites don't do it.
  11. Wewt! I can honestly say I've never made a post like this. I can now die knowing that I have successfully fulfilled this very important achievement in life.
