  1. Hello everyone, today April 7th I updated the system and fixed the grub which is now consistent with the kernel version. https://ibb.co/qRhB3N4 https://ibb.co/Xz6T88t
  2. Hi everyone, some time ago I was wondering what happened to Oleg, I'm glad to know that you are active again in Funtoo. I didn't know you were Ukrainian. Oleg I want to tell you that I am very sorry about what is happening in your country. Since the invasion (war) began, I have followed all the events very closely via TV, radio and the internet, even when I work. I hope this nightmare ends as soon as possible and I'm glad that my country, Italy like all of Europe is lined up in support of Ukraine. https://ibb.co/0ZFszpK I just updated the system funtoomex /home/morphmex # emerge --depclean -a * Always study the list of packages to be cleaned for any obvious * mistakes. 3. Hi all, I reinstalled funtoo using kde-stage3-intel64-skylake-next. Everything went smoothly. Now I finish installing kde-apps-meta. It would be useful to have the iptvsimple plugin available to media-tv/kodi. If you don't hear any other reports, it means that kde-apps-meta has also been installed without any problems. Have a nice day and good work.
  4. Now I think everything is ok. Thank you all. 😉
  5. Hi fredmyra, look for the funtoo channel in discord and you will find a section dedicated to linux macaroni inside and if you are interested you can chat directly with its creator. Good day.. https://www.funtoo.org/Funtoo:Macaroni_Linux https://github.com/macaroni-os/macaronictl https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt/ 😁
  6. When I left windows and pinnacle, kdenlive was always my favorite program. On gentoo/funtoo you should always add the vidstab flag to media-libs/mlt to be able to stabilize scenes when needed.

  8. but... it would be good to add in the ebuilds tree if possible all kodi-plugins, example: https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/media-plugins/kodi-pvr-iptvsimple https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/media-plugins/kodi-inputstream-adaptive ecc...
  9. Hi, I would recommend adding media-libs/fdk-aac to your ebuild tree to be able to install handbrake and if possible upgrade to a newer version. Handbrake is useful for converting video files, I personally need it to convert my panasonic camera's.mts file into more manageable video files to edit with kdenlive. mexwolf /home/mexwolf # eix handbrake * media-video/handbrake [1] Available versions: 1.3.3 {+fdk gstreamer gtk libav-aac numa nvenc x265} Homepage: http://handbrake.fr/ Description: Open-source, GPL-licensed, multiplatform, multithreaded video transcoder [1] "media-kit" /var/git/meta-repo/kits/media-kit mexwolf /home/mexwolf # emerge -a handbrake These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "media-libs/fdk-aac". 10. Hello, a curiosity... I wanted to know how the update tree works, are there any deadlines or does it depend on the work being done to correct errors and apply updates? From what little I understand the bulk of the work is automated.
  11. Hi all, I realized that I have reported a bug already sent by Semant. I've tried to remove it but can't find a way FL-10910 Failed to emerge dev-python/sphinxcontrib-applehelp-1.0.3
  12. Thank you very much I'm reading the emails: from https://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-9078 Thanks so much adbosco.
  13. Hello everyone, first of all I would like to thank everyone who works in funtoo because the system works well and is very fast, a Lamborghini.. ;-). Following the philosophy mentioned by Daniel, let me remind you that amule cannot be installed for a long time. No big deal but let me howl this wish. Soon.
  14. I would like to highlight this excellent multimedia program. I love it and lately I've been using it as a replacement for the amazon firestick. I connected a raspberry pi 4 with Librelec installed to my TV. https://libreelec.tv/ Kodi is missing >=dev-libs/flatbuffers-1.12.0, I have no idea if the funtoo team would mind putting it in the repositories. I imagine that certain changes can affect many other ebuilds ... If you want you could use flatpak but now I have fallen into the craze of total compilation ... ;-), also kodi on flatpak as on arch linux, manjaro and derivatives has a problem with the iptvsimple plugin and if i try to watch the tv it closes. Everything works on debian, gentoo and I'm sure funtoo when you upgrade flatbuffers and maybe kodi to version 19.5. Thanks for everything, I follow you with great interest. kodi on my xiaomi mi10T with: https://lineageos.org/
  15. Thanks so much Cardinal, tomorrow morning I'll apply the patch you gave me. Have a good day.
  16. Good morning everyone. I wanted to point out that at present plasma according to my experience works well and can be installed with relative peace of mind. Unfortunately I don't know the characteristics of the bug reported above and therefore I have no idea how long it may take to fix it. Without installing this package it is not possible to install: kde-apps/kdenetwork-meta Remote desktop viewers, download manager and other networking utilities.
  17. Good morning everyone, here in Livorno in Italy it is 2.37 pm. I take this opportunity to wish all Funtoo/Gentoo users and especially its creator Daniele Robbins. A brilliant person as Alessandro Ceriani said, and his systems are brilliant, which in my opinion are the best in the linux world. The best for those who are curious and want to understand how things work and don't want others to decide. Thanks again and best wishes for the world to become a better place than it is now.
  18. Even if I'm not a programmer who can give valid help to correct bugs and more, I have installed funtoo plasma on my pc as well as gentoo and I will follow you carefully, reporting any system errors. Have a nice day and Happy Holidays despite the times we are living... ps: the wolf is missing a paw.. 😉
