I updated my desktop and laptop today, which installed gnome-base/librsvg-2.39.0. After the update, I noticed that many of the icons in various parts of Gnome were not showing up. I determined that the cause was most likely librsvg, so I downgraded to gnome-base/librsvg-2.36.4-r1. Same problem. So I downgraded again, this time to gnome-base/librsvg-2.36.4, which resolved the issue. I have temporarily added >gnome-base/librsvg-2.36.4 to package.mask. However, I would like to figure out what is happening so I can eventually install the updates.
I've tried to rebuild a few packages which depend on librsvg against the newer versions of librsvg, but that hasn't helped. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

This seems to be fixed now. I removed my mask and updated librsvg over the weekend. Everything seems to be working fine on all my machines. I'm not sure what did it. Most likely the issue was resolved by some package which was upgraded between the last time I encountered this issue and this weekend.
