>=sys-kernel/debian-sources-3.10.11 +binary issue

Thus far, both systems that I have updated to debian-sources-3.10.11 (with the binary USE flag enabled) have obstinately refused to boot. (They boot properly under 3.2.41 and 3.2.51 with the binary USE flag enabled). I have the systems configured exactly as in the Funtoo installation guide (that is, /dev/sda4, type xfs, is root). These are garden-variety Intel machines, with nothing exotic.

The system halts here:

>> Activating iSCSI via iBFT
Could not get boot entry.
>> Mounting /dev/sda4 as root...
>> Using mount -t xfs -o ro
mount: mounting /dev/sda4 on /newroot failed: No such device
!! Could not mount specified ROOT, try again.
!! Could not find the root block device in .
Please specify another value...

I ran `emerge -uDN world` (with binary in USE for debian-sources, as directed by the install guide), followed by `boot-update`, followed by a reboot, to produce this.

I'm at a loss as to how to proceed.

Here's some `emerge --info`:

Re: >=sys-kernel/debian-sources-3.10.11 +binary issue

Upon further discussion in the IRC channel, this is most likely a bug:

http://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-823

I suspect this is related to the crc32 support added to xfs in >3.10, since after some investigation at the rescue shell, the block devices ARE present, but the xfs and libcrc32c modules refuse to load (missing symbols).
