I am going in circles trying to install gnome 3 (which requires me to unmask a lot of stuff). The EGL and KHR headers appear and disappear as I go through versions. I can't recall the last version that had them both -- I'm days away from it and at any rate, it was the one that forced gnome 2, so I don't want it.
Now I'm stuck in a tight corner with only a couple dozen packages left to be built and
media-libs/mesa-9.1.3 +bindist +classic +egl +gallium +llvm +nptl +python_single_target_python2_7 +python_targets_python2_7 +shared-glapi +video_cards_nouveau -debug -gbm -gles1 -gles2 -kernel_FreeBSD -openvg -osmesa -pax_kernel -pic -python_single_target_python2_6 -python_targets_python2_6 -r600-llvm-compiler -selinux -vdpau -video_cards_i915 -video_cards_i965 -video_cards_intel -video_cards_r100 -video_cards_r200 -video_cards_r300 -video_cards_r600 -video_cards_radeon -video_cards_radeonsi -video_cards_vmware -wayland -xa -xorg -xvmc
installing this self-referencing link:
/usr/lib64/opengl/xorg-x11/include/KHR/khrplatform.h -> khrplatform.h
Which blocks cairo. Is there a way around it?
I copied the missing file from http://www.khronos.org/registry/egl/api … platform.h and it allowed cairo to compile and merge successfully. I don't know yet whether it was a proper fix or not.
