boot from a livecd like System Rescue CD and run: "lspci -k", it will gives you the needed module for your disk. I saw on your kernel config file you have enable AHCI which is how many motherboards come with SATA ports configured with. Please check it too, maybe it's using PATA and you must build (as built-in) your IDE chipset into your kernel.
From your live CD you may also try "dmesg | grep sda" and look forward about if it's using AHCI or not.
