[SOLVED] Where is app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2?

According to http://packages.gentoo.org, libreoffice-4.0.3.3 was removed on June 20 in favor of libreoffice-4.0.4.2. However, it looks like the update didn't quite make it into Funtoo:

$ equery list -p libreoffice
 * Searching for libreoffice ...
[-P-] [  ] app-office/libreoffice-3.6.6.2:0
[IP-] [  ] app-office/libreoffice-4.0.3.3:0
$ equery list -p libreoffice-l10n
 * Searching for libreoffice-l10n ...
[-P-] [  ] app-office/libreoffice-l10n-3.6.6.2:0
[-P-] [  ] app-office/libreoffice-l10n-4.0.4.2:0

It seems that libreoffice-l10n was updated, but not libreoffice. I noticed that the ebuild for libreoffice has been forked by Funtoo. Does this need to be reported as a bug?

Re: [SOLVED] Where is app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2?

Good call mlmoses.
First of all, let me say welcome to the forums, we are a little bit smaller community and not a lot of traffic.. BillWho, Totally awesome to see you here  big_smile

So  What I see is libreoffice 4.0.4.2 it is available on current arch, while in stable arch it is masked.
To see this use the command

equery y libreoffice

I am not sure if this is by design to leave it back at 3.6.6.2, the whole idea of stable is to have stable packages.
I will unmask it locally and see if it will ask for other unwanted testing packages, cause issues for others in the stable arch.
This is a user generated distro, sometimes with little manpower packages do not always get updated as fast as we would like.  User input to ask for the packages they want will help. And all the love seems to end up in the current arch while stable arch gets forgotten.
I can report back later, this may be a good candidate to file a bug and ask for a update of libreoffice on the stable arch. We just did the same with blender, chromium .... why not libreoffice?

Re: [SOLVED] Where is app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2?

by using /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords and adding
=app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2
I now have it available, but emerge -pv libreoffice is now asking for other keyworded   (testing) packages.

The following keyword changes are necessary to proceed:
(see "package.accept_keywords" in the portage(5) man page for more details)
# required by app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2
# required by libreoffice (argument)
=app-text/libmspub-0.0.6 ~amd64
# required by app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2
# required by libreoffice (argument)
=app-office/libreoffice-l10n-4.0.4.2 ~amd64
# required by app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2
# required by libreoffice (argument)
=dev-libs/liborcus-0.3.0 ~amd64

These do not really look like a deal breaker to me, but lets ask the package maintainer Angry_Vincent and see what he says, I will install them and test here locally to insure does not cause issues for others.

Re: [SOLVED] Where is app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2?

Thanks everyone for your replies and assistance!

It looks like the ebuild for 4.0.4.2 was un-forked and added only a few hours after my post went up. Both of my systems have been successfully upgraded to 4.0.4.2 (both libreoffice and libreoffice-l10n, so I'll mark this as solved.

Re: [SOLVED] Where is app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2?

That makes sense also. I thought when I posted, would be bigger prob/ems if you were on current and did not have it   smile
And I asked about adding it to the stable arch. Reply was, 4.0.4.2 will not be listed as stable for at least a week or more, from upstream at libreoffice.
Glad you got it figured out, and all seems to be as it should on current and stable.
