Hi and thanks for reading!
I think I have a dependency problem but need a little help solving it.
I have IP's allocated via dhcp and run the standard funtoo dhcp client on my machine. Not Networkmanager.
With a NFS mount in fstab the machine waits then times out on the NFS mount. Looking at the logs it seems that the openrc wants to bring the NFS connection up before the network.
Having decided that I probably need a "rc_need=" in the NFS /conf.d/ I don't know where to put it!
There are NFSmount and NFS scripts etc and I can't understand what the correct rc_need line should be.
Found this: https://github.com/funtoo/corenetwork/b … r/docs/FAQ but it's three years old and don't know whether to rely on it.
I would have imagined that I'm not the only one using NFS in fstab so I can't understand why the solution wouldn't be implemented already.
Thanks in advance.
you need to add rc_need="your-interface-name" to NFS mount script. usually it a local interface, netif.eth0
Thank you AV!
Will try it out in a bit.
nfsmount already has
What constitutes 'net' ? Would the loopback (only) give a 'yes'?
Changing and testing now.
