ODROID-X : Raspberry Pi on steroids

http://www.redorbit.com/news/technology … under-130/

Yup that's a beast.... (4-cores 1.4Ghz ARM Cortex A9, ARMv7) With plenty of IO pins that would satisfy a  hobbyist in electronics smile

Looks nice. Would like one for ARM development. The latest Samsung Chromebook is a dual-core fast ARM CPU with 2GB RAM, and would also be good for development.

Re: ODROID-X : Raspberry Pi on steroids

What about to start an appeal for donations to support further Funtoo-ARM development?

130 $ isn't that much really; it should be possible to find 15 people, each pledging 10 $ or such to get you that thing with shipping smile It's a bit too low amount to put it on kickstarter I guess ... ;D But since I'd be very interested in running Funtoo on an ARM (like Raspberry Pi or such) I'd offer the first 10 $ to PayPal it over.

I will surely get one very soon, but I don't know exactly what model to buy, X2 or U2? smile

Depends on what is your budget or expectations. I would go on the most expensive model, it has plenty of USB 2 ports so great for building a low-power storage box for instance.
