eudev fork of udev

I just read on Phoronix ( http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=n … px=MTIzMDU ) about the decision to fork udev. I realize it's obviously really early, but does anyone know how this will affect Funtoo? The project is at https://github.com/gentoo/eudev

Re: eudev fork of udev

I have been following this interesting bit of drama. The eudev beta has been submitted and I read a recent post on superuser that 3.6.10-gentoo-sources requires eudev. So it appears some progress has been made.

I am not exactly sure if/how this will effect me... due to my system config. But I will add that I am hoping ryao et al are successful.
