Gnome2?..

I really like funtoo, a step in the right direction for gentoo and it's also up to date as apposed to gentoo.

After searching gnome I did not see gnome2 even searching gnome-base/gnome-2.32.1-r1

Was gnome2 removed in funtoo?

Re: Gnome2?..

Since all development has now stopped on Gnome2, I believe that MATE, a Gnome2 fork is pretty much the default choice for Gnome2 fans.  Check the following thread for more on installing MATE:

Re: Gnome2?..

http://dev.gentoo.org/~tetromino/misc/p … .gnome-3.2

this worked good for me...till our funtoo profile change and malwares and a cuda driver took control of the system and and... : (

it works good, i would not enable funtoos gnome profile for this though.

myself have moved on to xfce4. after testing awhile, putting xfce4 on new sdd today : )
