Sound all of a sudden stopped working

At some point after installing retro game emulators my sound just stopped working.

No errors, I'm able to mute, adjust sound, select different soundcards from ALSA mixer, but no sound comes out at all.

 

I've tried web pages, mpv videos, games, etc. No sound no nothing.

 

I don't even know where to start trouble shooting at this part since I've tried plugging in headphones and changing the soundcard to use.

 

If anyone could give me some stuff to try that would be great, Thanks.

Alsa wiki is a good source for trouble shooting information.
If you still can't figure it out run alsa-info.sh and post the link.

i got it working. it was muted in alsomixer even tho volumeicon said it wasnt.

?man i feel dumb. sorry for wasting yalls time
