Cleaning kernel

sotokoya

Question

did "cleaning kernel" need a lot time?

my terminal just show

* Linux Kernel 3.14.4-1 for x86...
* .. with config file /var/tmp/portage/sys-kernel/debian-sources-3.14.4/temp/config
* kernel: Using config from /var/tmp/portage/sys-kernel/debian-sources-3.14.4/temp/config
* kernel: >> Running mrproper...
*         >> Running oldconfig...
* kernel: >> Cleaning...

is it fine?

i wait this from yesterday :D

sorry, my english is bad

This does not seem normal.  The cleaning step should only take a few minutes at most.  You should type 'dmesg' in another terminal and see if there is a problem.

i see "CPU1: Core temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled"

i just have 2-core, this may be the crux :(
